How Contact lenses work?

The world that we live in today are far away from the simpler times, everything is an available at the cost of a click on your screen. With changing times, the competition is getting tougher by the day, to strive and survive the amount of stress that we handle on a daily basis, our body takes up the entire load, even more than what it can handle. And so, we end up causing harm to our body. This is very evident from the fact over half the population in America uses some sort of corrective measure, either glasses or contact lenses to correct their vision

Now that we know why it happens, the inquisitiveness to know how the contact lenses work to correct the issues is well anticipated. What happens is that due to prolonged exposure to radiative screen or due to too much stress, the ability of your natural eye lenses to form a clear image on your retina correctly which then is interpreted by your brain deteriorates. To correctly focus the light, beam on to retina, external assistance is required in the form of glasses or contact lenses. These curved surfaces focus the light beforehand as per the required correction.

The contact lenses with their clear, curved, polymer-based surfaces once applied on the surface of the eye provide enhanced curvature to the eye. They are designed to correct the refractive errors and maintain ocular health. It helps in concentrating the light rays to form a clear image at the focal point.  The lenses are made up of special flexible polymers that attach itself to the eye through a tear fluid present on the surface of the eye and moves naturally with it.

Contact Lenses

In the market these days, lenses are available not only to correct the refractive errors but also other issues related to vision like astigmatism and colour blindness. Lenses these days are also available with advanced polymer technologies that are more comfortable and well-adjusted to wear like the new silicone hydrogel lenses. These lenses can be worn for longer durations, offers greater comfort and helps immensely in dealing with eye dryness. Besides that, contact lenses play a major role in improving your overall aesthetics. For cosmetic reasons also, various people wear contact lenses. To change the colour of your iris, tinted contact lenses are available in the market, the polymer that it is made up of is tinted with a particular shade that reflects light of that colour, and everyone around perceives your iris as of that particular shade.

Lenses acts as a curved permeable membrane around your eyes, stuck to it with the tear fluid present on your eyes. The polymer often obstructs the contact of your eyes with atmosphere which helps it in maintaining the required amount of moisture. Hence, after wearing lenses for hours at a stretch, your eyes start itching which is termed as dryness of eyes. To beat this, lenses with membrane made up of polymer which can hold moisture for longer times is a good option in hand.

Lenses can hence help you enjoy a clear vision with enhanced aesthetics in a hassle-free manner. Life is beautiful, have a perfect unhindered vision to enjoy it, in its full glory.
